Welcome back from what I hope was a restful weekend for all of you. It is important to remember that there are several weeks of class BEFORE Christmas break begins and you will need to stay focused in class and stay on top of your assignments so that we can end our quarter on a good note.
This week in Reading...
Advanced reading will continue in their books. Each grade level is currently doing a different book. The 8th grade advanced readers will pick up To Kill a Mockingbird after the Christmas break.
Students in SCR will be listening to a short story called, "Emmett Till." We will work on the concepts of making predictions, generating questions, and inferencing. Students will work cooperatively to complete questions about the story.
This week in Language Arts...
WE WILL BE FINISHING OUR DOL FROM THE LAST BLOG ENTRY. ALL STUDENTS SHOULD HAVE THIS COMPLETED ALREADY!
The topic for this week's weekly journal writing assignment is Hanukkah.
